Frame of Absence is a series of artworks, each composed of a frame, plastic, and plaster. Though varying in shape, size, and color, every piece follows the same principle: within each of us lives a sense of absence—a quiet emptiness that’s hard to name. This series invites you to reflect on that feeling. What does your absence look like? What shape does your emptiness take? And when you look in the mirror… do you see it there too? Is there a space within your reflection that words cannot fill? Frame of Absence is not just about what is present, but about what is missing—and how deeply we can feel the outlines of what once was, or what never came.
Black:
This work speaks specifically to the loss of a loved one— how memory, no matter how cherished, begins to fade over time. What once felt vivid and near slowly dissolves, until all that remains is an empty frame— a quiet outline of presence once felt, now painfully absent. It is a visual elegy for what cannot be held, a reflection on how love lingers even as its form slips away. The frame stands not as a boundary, but as a fragile monument to absence— a space where memory used to live.
